Click the Cyberduck icon to start the software.
When Cyberduck starts you will see the following screen:
Note the top right icon that says "Disconnect" is gray. That is because you are not currently connected to any server.
To connect to the North Star Printing ftp server click the Open Connection icon.
A form will appear where you will enter the connection information.
At the bottom left corner of the Cyberduck screen you will see a message that Cyberduck is opening the ftp connection to the server.
NOTE: For confidentiality and to protect your files, our ftp server will not display a list of the files that are stored on the ftp server.
Cyberduck will connect to the North Star Printing ftp server. Cyberduck will attempt to get a list of the files that are on the server but, as stated above, that is not allowed so you will see the following error screen:
When this appears the first time click Try Again.
You must click Try Again the first time so Cyberduck will connect even without the list.
After you press Try Again you will see that the Disconnect icon at the top right of the Cyberduck screen is black instead of gray. That mean you are connected. The error will appear again. This time click Cancel.
Now you have Cyberduck connected to the North Star Printing ftp server.
You can select your .zip archive you created, drag it to the blank lined area of the Cyberduck screen and drop it there.
When you drop the archive file on Cyberduck the Transfers screen will appear.
If the connection between you and the North Star Printing ftp server is slow it may take a few moments for the transfer to start. As the file is uploaded the progress bar will move to the right. The larger the file, the longer it takes for the transfer. Large files of about one gigabyte or more are not practical for sending via ftp due to the very long transfer time and the likely hood of the transfer failing.
When the zip file is completely uploaded Cyberduck will again try to get a list of the files on the server. As before the list will be denied for the privacy and protection of all the files on the ftp server so you will again get the error message again.
Click the Cancel button and you will see on the Transfers screen that your file was uploaded.
When you have finished uploading your files, press the Disconnect icon at the top right of the Cyberduck screen. You are now disconnected from the North Star Printing ftp server.
Remember to notify your North Star Printing sales associate that your files are available on the North Star Printing ftp server.
